UMass Lowell Library is pleased to announce the launch of a new institutional repository, UMass Lowell RAD (Research, Archives and Data)! UML RAD allows papers and research data to be publicly accessible, discoverable, citable and is backed by a preservation process that will fulfill data management and sharing requirements set by grant funding agencies. This repository is part of a concentrated effort to preserve, share and celebrate the important scholarship created by the UML community.

UML RAD is also home to archival items from the Center for Lowell History, including documents, photos, and oral histories that chronicle the history of the university and the city of Lowell.

Currently, UML RAD includes a sample of items from the Center for Lowell History and academic departments across campus. Through collaborations with colleagues across campus, UML Library staff are working to grow these collections.

We seek your feedback as we roll out our new home for archival material, academic work and research data. Please contact Nikki Tantum, Digital Initiatives Archivist, with any questions via email: nicole_tantum@uml.edu.
