At UMass Lowell and Campus Recreation, we’re all about bringing people together and having a good time! This year, we’ve collaborated with other offices to make our Annual Homecoming Pickleball Slam weekend our most exciting yet, celebrating River Hawk pride while giving back to our community.

UMass Lowell Homecoming Pickleball Slam
When: Friday, Oct. 17 (3–9 p.m., Mixed) and Saturday, Oct. 18 (8 a.m.–5 p.m.)
Where: Come cheer on our alumni, students, faculty, and staff at the Campus Complex (outdoor tennis/pickleball courts).
On Saturday, Oct 18: Grab delicious food from the UMass Myanmar Club: Burmese eggrolls, grilled chicken, fried rice, fried noodles, and sticky rice.

More than just pickleball, this year’s tournament is also a fundraiser!
A portion of proceeds will benefit the UML Strive Pantry and the Campus Recreation Center, supporting food security, essential supplies, and student well-being. Together, these programs help River Hawks stay healthy, relieve stress, and succeed both on and off the court.

Annual Night Market
Hosted by UML's Asian Sister Clubs, a vibrant celebration of Asian culture, creativity, and community! Explore student-run food stalls featuring Cambodian, Chinese, South Asian, Filipino, and Vietnamese favorites while enjoying an unforgettable evening of lights, performances, and cultural pride.
When: Friday, Oct. 17 (6–9 p.m.)

UMass Lowell Men’s Hockey Game – Pickleball night
UMass Lowell men’s hockey game against Western Michigan Broncos. HEAD pickleballs will be distributed for the first 300 spectators.
When: Saturday, Oct. 18 at 6 p.m.
