This alumni and friends event marks the launch of the Andre Dubus III UMass Lowell Alumni Book Club, with King as its first featured writer. Together, they will explore his 2023 crime novel, “Holly.” Pick up a copy today.
This exciting program will bring together two of the most celebrated voices in contemporary literature for a discussion about writing, storytelling and the creative process. It is a rare opportunity to hear directly from authors whose work has shaped both popular culture and literary fiction.
We invite all members of the UMass Lowell community — students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends — to be part of this unforgettable experience.

We’re excited to welcome King “back” to UMass Lowell, where he last appeared in 2012 before a sold-out audience and announced the Stephen and Tabitha King Scholarship, which continues to support our creative writing students.
This initiative celebrates the power of storytelling and the generosity that helps future writers thrive.
More than 500 people have already registered, and we look forward to having you join us!
