Fire Prevention Week 2025: Campus Safety First!
Oct. 6–12, 2025
This year’s Fire Prevention Week theme is “Fire Safety Starts With You!” a reminder that every member of our campus community plays a role in keeping each other safe.
As part of our commitment to life safety, campus-wide fire drills will resume this week. These drills were temporarily paused but will resume the week of Oct. 6.
Fire drills are a critical part of our emergency preparedness strategy. They help ensure that students, faculty, and staff know how to respond quickly and calmly in the event of a fire. Your participation helps protect not only yourself but also your neighbors and first responders.
What You Can Do This Week:
- Know the location of fire alarms and extinguishers.
- Report any blocked exits or safety concerns.
- Participate fully in drills — they save lives.
Let’s work together to make our campus safer, stronger, and more prepared.
