Upcoming events for October
Oct. 2, 10-11 a.m. – ePAF Initiator Training
- This training session is intended for Department administrators who are responsible for initiating ePAF forms in HR Direct. This training session will cover how to initiate an ePAF to hire/rehire an employee, edit an active employee’s job details, and terminate non-benefited employees.
Oct. 8, 1-2 p.m. – ComPsych - Giving Effective Feedback in Personal or Work Situations
- Giving effective feedback is difficult. Most people avoid opportunities to give constructive feedback and give infrequent and often unhelpful positive feedback. This session addresses strategies on how to deliver effective feedback at work or at home. The training will offer multiple examples and provide participants with ample practice to learn how to give feedback that helps individuals improve performance.
Oct. 9, 10-11 a.m. – eAddlComp Training
- This training session is intended for Department administrators who are responsible for initiating electronic additional compensation forms. This training session will cover how to initiate a form, edit pending forms, approve forms, and view forms.
Oct. 16, 10-11 a.m. – Search Committee Training
- In this training, participants will gain an understanding of the roles and operating principles of the Search Committee as well as understand how a strategic search process is conducted.
Oct. 23, 10-11 a.m. – ComPsych - Effective Communication
- Why is interpersonal communication important? Personal success depends on our ability to communicate. Effective human relations depend on our communication skills. Overall, interpersonal communication skills are necessary for understanding and for action. This workshop explores interpersonal skills and techniques necessary for successful interactions.
