Last fall we created an International Connections Platform, intended to identify those countries in which our faculty and staff have personal and professional connections to help us recruit students, build academic partnerships and further research collaborations. Since developing this platform, more than 250 such connections have been identified by our colleagues.

Whether you have degrees from international universities, conduct research with colleagues or enjoy connections with alumni and friends who could potentially be helpful to us as we bring UMass Lowell to the world, we'd like to know how and where you're connected. If you’re going to be doing any international travel or looking to partner with another colleague on a project, you will be able to access this useful data as well.

In the short term, Chancellor Chen and I are particularly interested in connections you may have in Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, India, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Please check out the International Connections Platform. It will take you less than ONE MINUTE to complete this survey, which will provide helpful information to any faculty or staff member looking to develop a relationship with colleagues outside the U.S.

For more information on the platform or our strategic approach to international engagement, reach out to Vice Chancellor John Feudo by email: john_feudo@uml.edu. We appreciate your help.
