The Office of Research Development (ORD) has launched the Proposal Resubmission Program, a new internal funding/proposal development opportunity. This program supports research projects that were unsuccessfully submitted for external funding, and whose competitiveness on resubmission would increase with the acquisition of additional data, proof of concept, or additional proposal support (graphic design, research development support, etc.).

Reviews must indicate that the project is sound and innovative. The proposal must be a “near miss” that scored well. Proposals that were returned without review are not eligible for this mechanism—please refer to our other internal funding programs for potential support. Awardees are required to meet regularly with a member of the research development team during the proposal revision and resubmission process.

ORD intends to fund up to seven awards at up to $1,000 per project.

Applications will be accepted through the Proposal Resubmission Program InfoReady on a rolling basis starting September 2025 until funds are exhausted.
