The Department of World Languages and Cultures invites you to our Fall 2025 RESILIENCE: A Film Series

This cinematographic series explores resilience through diverse cultural perspectives and personal stories. Featuring films and documentaries in Spanish, Italian, English, French and Portuguese, the series examines how individuals and communities overcome challenges, adapt to change, and maintain their cultural identity.

The documentaries showcase different approaches to resilience from communities around the world and at home. The series aims to foster cross-cultural understanding while highlighting the universal human capacity for perseverance and growth.

Join us for the first film viewing of our Fall 25 RESILIENCE: A Film Series

INVASIÓNA FILM BY ABNER BENAIM: written and directed by Abner Benaim. It is a 2014 documentary offering different Panamanian perspectives on the 1989 United States invasion of Panama that ousted General Manuel Noriega. Raising questions about memory, truth, and power, it compels its viewers to learn more.
