Effective September 1, legal studies faculty members Michelle Veilleux and Walter Toomey will join the Department of Political Science. The legal studies minor remains open to all majors, while this move strengthens ties with political science’s politics and law concentration and expands pre-law advising across the College of Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and the university.

Special thanks to David McCauley for his leadership in pre-Law advising, helping align this effort moving forward. We also thank the School of Criminology and Justice Studies and the Economics Department for their past stewardship of legal studies, and the Political Science Department for leading the program into its next phase.
