Associate Professor David Claudio from Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and doctoral student Andrea Vivaldi are conducting a research study at UMass Lowell focusing on how different computer workstation setups affect task performance and user experience during computer-based activities and are seeking participants.
Participation involves completing common computer tasks while we collect information about your performance and physical activity. The study includes wearing small motion (IMUs) sensors during the tasks. There is a incentive of a $75 gift card for completing the study.
This study will take place in Dandeneau Hall (DAN 105) on the UMass Lowell campus. Participation requires attending two lab sessions, approximately two hours each, scheduled on different days.
To be eligible you must meet the following criteria:
- Subjects must be between 18 and 70 years of age
- Subjects should not have a chronic history of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs)
- Subjects should not have any recent (≤3 months) upper body/shoulder pain or injuries.
- Subject must know English
- Subjects may not participate if they are currently pregnant
- Subject should not have a major adhesive allergy.
