We have a new partnership with the Lowell Regional Transit Authority (LRTA). The LRTA will be operate our Orange Line from 7:15 a.m. - 11 a.m. as route #20. Route #20 will extend Orange Line service to the Tsongas Center and Lowell Train Station / Kennedy Center. Buses will run at a frequency of every 30 minutes, with a set schedule. Students will benefit from predictable departure times at USuites and North Campus as well as increased capacity. This is the first time our daytime service will have a direct connection to the Lowell Commuter Rail, enabling more sustainable trips to campus.
We will now be publishing a timetable for all of our routes to help you better plan your travel across campus. This timetable will show estimated wait times between buses and travel times between campus locations at different periods throughout the day. Timetables will be located in the bus shelters and on our website. They will be updated monthly as new data is collected.
The Downtown stop, which is request only for Night and Weekend service, will be changing locations. The stop will now share the LRTA stop on the westbound side of Merrimack Street, at the corner with John Street, in front of the Purple Carrot Cafe.
