We’ve had a busy summer in O’Leary Library. Thank you to everyone for your patience with the noise and disarray while offices were moved and services were relocated to our new spaces.

Here’s a guide to where you can find offices and services.

First floor:

  • The River Hawk Scholars Academy (RHSA) has moved to the first floor. They have a welcome desk for RHSA students.
  • Public computers are available.
  • The Centers for Learning, Advising & Student Success (CLASS) is located on the first floor in the Learning Commons.
  • The Writing Center has relocated from the third floor. They are now located alongside RHSA.
  • A few study rooms remain available on the first floor.
  • Library services have moved up to the fourth floor.
  • Starbucks will re-open in the fall!

Third Floor:

  • The library staff offices are on the third floor. There are open study rooms, a ‘free books’ shelf, a new puzzle spot, lots of comfortable furniture and more.
  • Public computers and black and white printers are here for you to use.
  • You can find the books from the Wunsch collection. Please make sure to take those up to the fourth floor to check out.

Fourth Floor:

  • Library services moved to the fourth floor. You can check out and return books and other library items, including Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and course reserves. If you don’t want to come up to the fourth floor to return books, consider using our new book drop outside of O’Leary Library.
  • Do you need help? Watch to see when the librarians are providing drop-in support. That’s when you can find them at the fourth floor desk. You also have the option to email questions or schedule an appointment to meet with a librarian.
  • Music and Art books remain on the fourth floor. The music scores are now part of our circulating collection so you can check those out. World language books can now be found in O’Leary as well.
  • The Book Love collection moved up to the fourth floor and we’ve set up a Book Nook so you can sit and read when you need a break.
  • The English Department remains in its office space.

Some details are still being decided. We will keep the campus up to date with all the great changes coming to both Lydon and O’Leary Library in the fall!
