The UMass Lowell Immersive Scholars Program is now seeking research, scholarship and creative opportunities for the 2025–2026 academic year.
For over 12 years, Immersive Scholars have thrived through mentorship and hands-on experience with UMass Lowell faculty and staff. This is your opportunity to host a funded student scholar and enhance your research or creative project with dedicated student support—at no cost to your department.
Why Participate?
- Receive assistance from a high-potential sophomore student.
- No departmental expense – students are awarded up to $4,000 to work 235 hours with you.
- Gain support for your research, scholarship or creative initiatives.
- Be a mentor to a student – this increases retention!
Work Cycle
Academic Year 2025–2026 is Sept. 2, 2025 – May 8, 2026
How to Get Started
1. Post your Immersive Scholar position to JobHawk (research, scholarship or creative-based).
2. The Student Employment Office will approve your position and follow up with next steps.
3. Students will be paid through university payroll.
