New demand-based parking meter rates will be in effect beginning Monday, July 7. These rates will fluctuate based on the demand of the particular lot as determined by its turnover rate (the number of times all parking spaces are used per day).

  • Low-demand lots have a turnover rate of less than 100% and will maintain an hourly rate of $1.50.
  • Medium-demand lots have a turnover rate between 100% and 300% and will maintain an hourly rate of $1.50.
  • High-demand lots have a turnover rate of 300% or greater and will have a new hourly rate of $2.00.

High-demand lots that will have their rates increased to $2.00 per hour:

  • Cumnock Lot
  • Standish Lot
  • Wilder Visitor Lot

Low-to-medium-demand lots that will maintain a rate of $1.50 per hour:

  • 817 Merrimack Lot
  • Lower Mahoney Lot
  • Pawtucket Lot
  • Riverview Suites Visitor Lot
