MathWorks, the vendor behind MATLAB and related tools, experienced a cyberattack beginning Sunday, May 18. This incident caused temporary outages for many of MathWorks' online services. As a result, some UMass Lowell users may have encountered issues accessing MathWorks products. Due to indications that MathWorks' internal authentication systems may have been involved, and out of an abundance of caution, we will be resetting UML account passwords for users who accessed MathWorks systems. Affected users will receive an email from Information Security with additional information and instructions.
