The Toxics Use Reduction Institute (TURI) is excited to announce an invitation for proposals from academic faculty interested in obtaining funding to identify, evaluate, and/or develop safer alternatives to toxic chemicals. This funding opportunity is open to faculty and their graduate students from any academic institution within Massachusetts.
Since our inception in 1989, TURI has proudly supported over 100 research projects from universities across the state. Each year, the allocation of academic research grants depends on the funding received from the Massachusetts legislature, as well as the quality of the proposals submitted. In recent years, TURI has typically funded between one to two research projects annually.
We encourage collaboration with industry partners as part of the proposal process, as we believe that such partnerships can enhance the impact and applicability of your research.
