Dear Faculty, Researchers, and Graduate Students,

Are you ready to take your research beyond the lab and into the real world? After a highly successful Round 1 training program in Fall 2024, we are excited to announce the launch of Round 2 of "Turn Your Research into a Venture" – a free, virtual entrepreneurship training series designed to help you commercialize your research and build successful startups.

Organized by UML’s New Venture Development and the Jack Wilson Center for Entrepreneurship, this program will provide you with essential entrepreneurial skills, including funding strategies, investor pitching, and scaling your venture.
This program is part of UML’s commitment to fostering a thriving innovation ecosystem, where the Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) and New Venture Development (NVD) support faculty, researchers, and entrepreneurs in transforming intellectual property (IP) into thriving startups.

Why Attend?

  • Learn from industry experts – Gain insights from experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders.
  • Master fundraising and investor pitching – Understand different funding sources and how to craft a compelling pitch.
  • Understand the structuring and legal considerations – Learn about entity formation, intellectual property protection, and key legal aspects of incorporating a startup and launching a university spinout.
