Dear Colleagues.
UMass Lowell is seeking a Faculty Fellow for Career-Integrated Learning to partner with CELT to support faculty in embedding career-connected experiences into their courses as part of a new Career-Integrated Learning Mini-Grant Program. This initiative is designed to prepare students for success in the workforce by integrating real-world applications, industry partnerships and career-focused skills into the curriculum. The Faculty Fellow will play a key leadership role in mentoring faculty participants, curating resources and ensuring the success of this program.
This is a grant-sponsored one-year appointment, renewable for a second year, starting April 15, 2025, with a $5,000 annual stipend.
The Faculty Fellow will:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for mini-grant recipients, providing mentorship and guidance.
- Work with program leadership to refine and enhance the new Career-Integrated Learning Mini-Grant Program.
- Develop best practices and resources for faculty integrating career-connected learning.
- Facilitate a kick-off meeting, check-in sessions and a final reflection workshop for grant participants.
- Collaborate with CELT (Center for Excellence in Learning & Teaching) to support faculty development.
- Assist in assessing the impact of career-integrated learning in courses.
- Lead workshops and/or faculty discussions on career-connected pedagogy.
- Share insights, case studies, and success stories through CELT or other faculty forums.
Eligibility and Qualifications
- Full-time faculty at UMass Lowell
- Strong record of teaching excellence and innovation
- Experience in integrating career-focused elements into courses and/or curriculum
- Ability to mentor and support faculty across disciplines
- Commitment to fostering experiential learning and workforce preparedness.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
