Are you interested in applying for an equipment grant but need support with finding the right funding opportunity, navigating cost share, and/or starting the process to ensure feasibility of equipment installation on campus? The Office of Research Development (ORD) invites you to participate in a virtual session, Pursuing Equipment Funding, on March 4, 2025 from 11 a.m. to noon EST.

In the session, ORD will review several common equipment grant opportunities such as Defense University Research Instrumentation Program (DURIP), National Science Foundation (NSF), Major Research Instrumentation Program (MRI), National Institutes of Health (NIH) S10 Instrumentation Programs, Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC) Research Infrastructure Program, and more. ORD will also share best practices for enhancing proposals, advice for deciphering allowable cost share for when requested, and timelines for applying in the case of a limited submission. Facilities Management will review the process of working with their team to ensure our campus has the appropriate space and requirements to meet technical specifications. We will also share information about potentially partnering with Core Research Facilities to promote resource sharing.

Please register to attend.

Please email RD@uml.edu if you would like to propose questions to be answered during the session. Thank you.
