Hear a little about Caroline Van Vronker, who qualified as the first student of color to enter Lowell High School and thus made Lowell High the first integrated high school in the nation.

Boucher and Coles will also talk about Walker Lewis, an early African-American abolitionist, Freemason and Mormon elder from Massachusetts who lived in Lowell, and Quock Walker, his familial ties to Lowell and Massachusetts Emancipation Day.

The event is Feb. 26 from 6 - 8 p.m.
