World Languages and Cultures hosting Chinese New Year event - Slithering into the Year of the Snake.
Date: Tuesday, February 11
Time: 2-4 p.m.
Location: O'Leary Library, Room 510 D
Event Description:
Join us for a fun-filled Chinese New Year celebration with a snake-inspired twist! Explore traditional customs, get creative with crafts, and enjoy exciting music and fun.
Activities:
- Explore Chinese New Year Customs: Discover the meanings behind key traditions and symbols.
- Sing Along to New Year Songs: Enjoy festive tunes to set the mood for the celebration.
- Paper Cutting: Create your own intricate paper art to take home.
- Hand-Paint Your Red Envelopes: Paint your own red envelopes for good luck and fortune.
- Uncover Your Luck: Participate fully and get a chance to know your fortune through our scratch-off lottery!
Additional Notes:
Free snacks and drinks will be provided.
Activities are open to all students—no prior experience required.
