The Healthy Minds Network, on behalf of the University of Massachusetts Lowell, is conducting a campus-wide survey about student health and well-being called the Healthy Minds Study (HMS). Starting Monday, January 27 you will receive an email from Annie Ciaraldi, associate dean of Student Affairs inviting you to participate.

Why should you participate? Here are some key reasons:

Personalized Insights: Completing the survey can help you understand your mental health better and take proactive steps towards self-care.

Contribute to Positive Change: Your input can impact how we address mental health issues on campus, improve support systems, and create a healthier environment for everyone.

A Chance to Win:
You are automatically entered into a sweepstakes for one of four $250 gift cards and one of ten $100 gift cards. The drawing will be conducted by researchers at the University of Michigan School of Public Health in Ann Arbor, Michigan in summer 2025. Winners will be notified by email and provided with information about how to collect the prize.

Participating in this survey will also make you eligible for the following prizes available only to students at the University of Massachusetts Lowell: One AirPods Pro valued at $190, one invisaWEAR jewelry valued at $150, or one 32" Smart TV valued at $80. About two weeks after the survey closes, the Healthy Minds Study team will provide the email addresses of participants winning local incentives to your institution, which is then responsible for distributing those prizes.

We will also have pop-up opportunities for you to win additional prizes!

On average, the online survey takes 25-30 minutes to complete and is a chance to reflect on important topics in your life and campus community.

Your participation in the survey is much appreciated! Please contact Melissa Wall, director of Prevention & Education, (Melissa_Wall@uml.edu) if you have any questions about the survey. Thank you!
