A National Day of Observance has been declared to honor the death of former President Jimmy Carter. The U.S. Postal Service will suspend regular mail deliveries, retail services and administrative activity on Thursday, Jan. 9. All Postal Service facilities, including the headquarters in Washington, D.C., district administrative offices, distribution centers, and all local offices are included in the National Day of Observance.

Consequently, the university will be not be receiving or posting any mail on this date.

The U.S. Postal Service will resume normal operations on Friday, Jan. 10.
