The Department of World Languages and Cultures French Program invites you to a video screening of "One Family, Three Woman: A Tale of Franco-American Lowell."
Join us for a compelling journey into the lives of a Franco-American family in Lowell, told by three generations: Doris (Beauchesne) Côté, her daughter Denise Beaudry, and granddaughter Samantha Moran. Their story reflects the rich heritage of countless French-Canadian families who settled in Lowell seeking a better life.
The session was recorded by Chelmsford Telemedia (CTM) volunteers Allen Beebe and Robert Pariseau and edited by them at the CTM studios, adding Côté and Beauchesne family photos as well as archival materials from the UMass Lowell Center for Lowell History and the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.
The project was coordinated by Lowell Franco-American Day Committee member Suzanne Beebe.
When: Dec. 19, 4 to 6 p.m.
Location: Coburn 255
Free and open to the public
