UML Book Club and Philosophy Club are working together to host our biggest event of the year, Blind Speed Date With a Book, on December 4 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Allen House!

Here's how it works: Bring a copy of your favorite book - or just a book suggestion - and describe it vaguely, without revealing the title. When you find someone who's interested, reveal the title and swap books and contact info! We hope that you will stay in contact through winter break and beyond, planting the seeds for new friendships.

Additionally, we will also have bookmark making, free food, raffles for cool prizes and even E1 credit for Honors students! There is something for everyone at this event!

Most excitingly, we have applied for a grant to purchase books to swap! Please note that we are not guaranteed the funding, but if you're interested, indicate the title and author of the book you wish to swap on our registration form.
