The recent launch of the School of Graduate Studies website represents important progress as we continue to develop the infrastructure of the school and align resources from across the university to enhance recruitment and ensure graduate students academic success.
I want to thank Partha Chowdhury, founding head of the School of Graduate Studies, for his continued leadership as we rethink our path forward as a new member of the highest tier of university research institutions.
“We have some exciting new initiatives we are preparing to announce in the coming weeks that will further demonstrate UMass Lowell’s commitment to elevating graduate students’ research and pathways to achievement,” Chowdhury said. “I’ve had great conversations with the deans and have no doubt UMass Lowell is prepared to attract outstanding students to Lowell.”
A key aspect of our growth continues to be the expansion of the Lowell Innovation Network Corridor and the expanded research opportunities that this initiative will create for undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and researchers as we work alongside industry, government and non-profit partners.
We’re grabbing hold of opportunities to build research clusters that will create new knowledge, expand hands-on learning opportunities and create jobs. And the new School of Graduate Studies will be central to our success.
