Please join the Lowell Center for Space Science and Technology for the virtual seminar: Grounding, Bonding, and Shielding by John McCloskey, Chief Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center on Thursday, April 25 at 11 am.

Summary: An overview of the general concept of grounding, and the related topics of bonding and shielding, with emphasis on space flight applications.

Bio:
John McCloskey is the Chief Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, where he has worked since May 1988. John provides EMC support to many space flight projects, including the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) starting in 2002 until its launch on Christmas Day of 2021. John really enjoys teaching and training, and he has provided many EMC training and education opportunities for the Goddard workforce.
