Over the past year and a half, we have seen a great number of changes due to the growth of artificial intelligence. The Faculty Senate, in collaboration with the Provost's Office and Academic Technology, has convened a Task Force to help address the way this issue is impacting our campus.

The Senate AI Task Force has developed a brief survey aimed at gauging the awareness of artificial intelligence and readiness within our community. We encourage participation from students, faculty, and staff across all departments to ensure that we can tailor resources, programming, and professional development to meet the unique needs of our campus.

Please take a few minutes to complete this anonymous survey. We really want to learn about your experiences with AI, Chat GPT, etc. By sharing your thoughts and experiences, you will provide valuable insights that will shape UMass Lowell’s efforts to prepare and support our campus community to manage AI’s impact on education and research.

Thank you for your participation and continued engagement in this critical initiative. Please return your responses by April 5.
