Brief Abstract:
Industrials boilers in the United States consume significant energy and are a major source of greenhouse gas emissions. A wireless smart boiler system comprised of wireless high-temperature sensors can reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions while reducing cost. The key component of such a system is the wireless high-temperature sensors which must withstand extreme temperatures and harsh environments. The proposed high-temperature sensors consist of a high-quality factor Lamb wave filter integrated with an antenna and fabricated on 4H silicon carbide (4H-SiC) semiconductor providing real-time passive wireless temperature sensing in extreme temperatures and harsh environments.
