Abstract:

This proposal aims to explore the potential of deep learning in accelerating the design of perovskite materials. The research question focuses on the latest applications of machine learning in assisting perovskite discovery, the development tendency of machine learning in perovskite materials publications, and the practical challenges hindering the commercialization of halide perovskites. The proposal will investigate how deep learning can be used to predict the formation energies of perovskite compounds, screen for promising perovskite materials, and improve the stability of perovskite solar cells. The proposal will also discuss the potential solutions to the challenges of applying machine learning methods to perovskite research, such as data quality and small dataset issues.

All interested students and faculty members are invited to attend.
