We will be screening the movie "The Second Mother," by Brazilian director Anna Muylaert (2015), on February 9, at 5:30 p.m., Olney Hall, Room 222, as part of the Department of World Languages and Cultures' 2022-2023 Global Cinema Film Series.

The movie is a vivid portrayal of what happens when the estranged daughter of a hard-working live-in housekeeper suddenly appears, throwing into disarray the unspoken class barriers that exist within the home.

The film is presented in Portuguese with English subtitles and is free and open to all.
