Abstract:

This paper addresses a key fundamental right millions of children around the world are denied: Education. At an alarming rate, millions of people have fled their homes in fear, becoming a term only created in 1951, forcibly displaced. Of the millions of forcibly displaced people, many end up in refugee camps, where they will spend years without adequate access to education. This has largely affected the Rohingya population, fleeing the Rakhine State in Myanmar. The purpose of this paper is to address the key educational differences for Rohingya children living in refugee camps located in Bangladesh and Thailand.
