About this event
Speaker: Mary Wambui-Ekop, Asset Manager at The Planning Office for Urban Affairs
Energy efficiency has been called by many in the fight for climate justice “the first fuel” in the path to carbon free buildings. It is not only effective at reducing GHG emissions but also reduces energy burdens that low- and moderate-income residents face which are an impediment to social mobility and economic empowerment. Join Mary's talk to hear more about what the City of Lowell can do for its residents as the State of Massachusetts becomes more aggressive with decarbonization strategies.
