University of Massachusetts Lowell is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual call for new members into Alpha Alpha Alpha (or Tri-Alpha), which recognizes the academic achievements of first-generation college students.
All applicants must be first generation per the following definition: "are eligible if neither parent nor guardian earned a bachelor's degree prior to the student.”
Undergraduate students
- must be a current undergraduate degree candidate at UMass Lowell;
- have completed at least 30 credit hours of undergraduate terms of study;
- have an overall graduate GPA of at least 3.2
- are a first generation college student
- willing to pay one-time dues of $20
- must be a current graduate degree candidate at UMass Lowell;
- have completed at least 9 credit hours of graduate terms of study;
- have an overall graduate GPA of at least 3.5
- are a first generation college student
- willing to pay one-time dues of $20
- must be a current employee at UMass Lowell
- were a first generation college student
- willing to pay one-time dues of $50
The Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Nov. 9, 2021 at 5 p.m. If your application is approved, you will be asked to pay the one-time dues in return for ceremony details. Options for in person and virtual will be available.
This induction give you lifetime membership in Alpha Alpha Alpha. You've shown incredible success here at UMass Lowell and through our membership, we hope to instill the values of academic excellence and represent all first-generation students. WE ARE THE FUTURE!
