Join the River Hawk Scholars Academy to hear Oscar D. Ayala share his story on March 17 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Ayala is a scientist in Research & Development at Cynosure in Westford, Mass., a company that develops energy-based devices for aesthetic and medical treatments. Ayala is passionate about working with underrepresented minorities in the sciences and engineering. To connect minority and first-generation students pursuing higher education at Vanderbilt, Ayala co-founded the first chapter of the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) in Tennessee in 2017. His story will inspire and move you! This event will be hosted by faculty from the Francis College of Engineering.
