Behind the Scenes Support: How Families Can Help Their Emerging Adult Students

Wednesday, October 21, 2026 Noon to 1 p.m.

Once the excitement of the start of the semester calms down, many families take time to reflect on success and challenges of the semester. It's normal to feel uncertain about how to support an adult student while respecting their independence. Join us for a conversation on navigating communication boundaries, making the most of campus resources, understanding common challenges though out the semester, and learning how to act as supportive guardrails rather than take the lead. While this session is from Disability Services staff, it is not disability specific and is open to all support people.
