The Learning in Retirement Association (LIRA) will present five $2,000 scholarships to current full-time juniors and seniors  who participated in community service activities, while achieving a GPA of 3.000 or better. Scholarships will be applied to the Spring 2027 semester.

Scholarship recipients are honored at LIRA’s annual holiday party on December 7, 2026 in Moloney Hall at the Meehan Student Center.

Faculty/ Staff / Community Service Supervisor

Faculty, Staff and Community Service Supervisors can upload a letter of recommendation for each student applicant.

Deadline

The application deadline is Monday, October 26, 2026 at 5 p.m.

Your signature below indicates your permission to have the completed scholarship application form, personal statement, and transcript reviewed by the LIRA Scholarship Committee. You also give permission to release such information to the donors, should you be selected as a recipient.

  • 1-2 Page Essay: Describe your community services to the University and community at large.
