Description
This laboratory course introduces prospective clinical scientists to the essential skills, methods, and procedures fundamental to professional practice in the clinical laboratory. Instruction includes explanation, demonstration, and supervised student performance of key techniques, with emphasis on developing technical proficiency and an understanding of the principles underlying each method. Students will gain experience in applying pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical quality assurance measures across all areas of laboratory testing. Upon successful completion, students will have established a solid technical foundation to support continued study and progression into advanced clinical and technical components of the Applied Biomedical Sciences curriculum.
