Who We Are

The AGC was established to coordinate evaluation, selection, and management of enterprise applications.

Goals & Guiding Principles

  • Strategic Evaluation: Assessing and prioritizing enterprise applications based on institutional value.
  • Optimizing Investments: Leveraging existing solutions before seeking new tools.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Encouraging inclusive dialogue.
  • Data Security & Compliance: Maintaining standards for data protection.
  • Operational Synergy: Improving coordination between UITS and stakeholders.

Application Advisory Group(AAG)

The Application Advisory Group facilitates requests, operational improvements, and emerging technologies.

The Application Governance Committee (AGC) was created to oversee the evaluation, selection, and ongoing management of enterprise applications. These are organization-wide systems that support essential university operations and streamline complex business processes.

At UMass Lowell, common examples of enterprise applications include PeopleSoft and Salesforce.

We are here to review the application needs of the campus community and present solutions either utilizing our current enterprise applications or ensuring any new solutions needed fully integrate with our enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Presenting new application and modification requests.
  • Identifying application changes.
  • Recommending system-driven efficiency enhancements.
