Biosketch

Captain Sean M. Rabbie is an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 345 at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. He leads educating and training officer candidates through a comprehensive program of academics, leadership exercises and physical fitness to ensure candidates have the professional and moral fortitude to succeed as commissioned officers in the United States Air Force. 

Captain Rabbie, originally from Marinette, Wisconsin, enlisted in the Air Force in March, 2003 as a Telephone Systems Apprentice and was commissioned in June, 2017 through the United States Air Force’s Officer Training School, Maxwell AFB, Alabama. Upon earning his commission, he attended the Basic Intelligence Officer’s Course. Most recently, he served as the Chief of Intelligence for the AWACS & Wedgetail Division within the Air Force’s Lifecycle Management Center. 

Prior to his commissioning, Capt Rabbie held a variety of positions in the information technology (IT) and telecommunications career fields, including multiple roles with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). He served as IT installations lead, Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge of the Operations Support Squadron’s Plans and Programs office, and Flight Chief of the Data Center Operations Flight. He was selected as one of five NRO Data Center Managers where he was responsible for managing and integrating mission operations hardware into NRO architecture. He also led security teams in the protection of multi-million dollar flightline assets and personnel while deployed to Bagram Air Base (AB), Afghanistan in 2009. During a recent deployment, Capt Rabbie served as Deputy Chief of the Analysis, Correlation & Fusion Branch within the 609th Air Operations Center. Here, he led a 56 joint personnel team in the all-source fusion of intelligence, directly supporting the development of daily Air Tasking Orders and operations planning.
