6-Week Program
UMass Lowell (UML) offers virtual and on-campus coursework to help college-bound first-year students prepare for college and get a jump-start on classes. Students can complete up to two courses during each summer session.
Program Dates
- Summer Session I - May 18 - June 29, 2026
- Summer Session II - July 6 - August 15, 2026
Tuition and Fees
- Virtual Coursework - $1,155 plus $30 registration fee
- On-Campus Coursework - $385 per contact hour plus $30 registration fee
Online Course Offerings
Students are encouraged to speak with a professional academic advisor when selecting summer coursework prior to starting college. UMass Lowell incoming first-year students can schedule appointments with their professional advisors through their MyUML Dashboard by selecting their professional advisor from their Success Team.

On Campus Course Offerings
Students can complete the program while living on campus or commuting.
For an additional cost, students are able to live on campus in River Hawk Village for the 6-week Program.
