6-Week Program

UMass Lowell (UML) has crafted this specific program to help college-bound first year students prepare for college, build community, and get a jump start on classes. Students can complete up to two courses during this program. This program is ideal for students who are seeking an opportunity to complete coursework prior to starting their college experience in the fall.

Program Dates:

  • Summer Session I - May 13 - June 26, 2024
  • Summer Session II - July 8 - August 15, 2024

Tuition and Fees

  • Virtual Coursework - $855* plus $30 registration fee, additional courses $1,155
  • On Campus Coursework - $225 per contact hour plus $30 registration fee

*Discounted tuition on first course only available to students admitted into UMass Lowell's Fall 2024 class. Students eligible for tuition credits through other benefit programs (e.e. adependent of UMass employee, state employee, etc.) are not eligible. Only one tuition credit can be used at a time and UMass Lowell will always apply the tuition credit that is most advantageous for the student. Student is responsible for clearing any holds.

For an additional cost, students are able to live on campus in River Hawk Village for the 6-week Program.
