Scholarships

Each December LIRA awards a number of scholarships to full-time junior or senior students at UMass Lowell. Scholarships are given in the spirit of community service and are funded by voluntary donations from the LIRA members.

To qualify, a student must be full-time, have a grade point average of 3.0 or better and participate in extracurricular and/or community service activities. They also must obtain a reference from a UMass Lowell professor or community service supervisor. We encourage all qualified students to watch for the announcement each fall and submit an application. The deadline will be on the scholarship form. Scholarships will be awarded in early December at the annual LIRA holiday party.
