The Learning in Retirement Association (LIRA) will present five $2,000 scholarships to current full-time undergraduates with junior or senior status enrolled during the 2023-2024 academic year who participated in community service activities, with a GPA of 3.0 or better. Financial need is not considered, however, scholarships must be applied to the Spring 2024 semester. 

Scholarship recipients are honored at LIRA’s annual holiday party which this year will be held on Dec. 6,2023.

Faculty/ Staff/Community Service Supervisor

Faculty, Staff and Community Service Supervisor s can upload a letter of recommendation for each student applicant.


The application deadline is Monday, Oct. 30, 2023 at 5 p.m.

  • 1-2 Page Essay: Describe your community services to the University and community at large.
  • Letter of recommendation (Student upload)
    • Student should provide a recommendation from an academic, faculty or community service coordinator.
    • Have them include their Name, Email and best contact information.
