New for 2016!

Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service with this special program for children and adults!

In this new summer "camp," family members participate in a unique behind-the-scenes tour and activities at Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area. Board a bus in Lowell with National Park Rangers to visit this remarkable destination and "Find Your Park."  For this intergenerational program, your "family" must consist of at least one child accompanied by at least one adult.

  • Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
  • Cost: $70 for one adult and one child, each additional child is $35.

Tuesday, July 5, 2016 - Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area:
Board a bus in Lowell and travel to the Long Wharf ferry dock in Boston. Take a ferry ride to Spectacle Island in Boston Harbor. Bring your own picnic lunch and dine while enjoying spectacular views of Boston's skyline. Make and fly your own kite (materials provided). Return to Lowell by 3:30 p.m.
