Biosketch
Tahreem Fiaz is a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) student in Applied Biology at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where she is part of the Lee Lab studying epigenetics, development, and aging in C. elegans. Her research focuses on chromatin structure and its heritable changes, investigating how epigenetic modifications influence longevity.
Before joining UMass Lowell, Tahreem earned her Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Molecular Pathology and Genomics from Forman Christian College in Lahore, Pakistan. During her Master’s she explored the intricate relationship between psychological stress and tumor progression. Beyond her research, Tahreem is committed to science education and outreach.
In her spare time, she loves traveling and spending time with her family.
