Research Interests

Plant Biology & Cell Biology

My research interests are diverse; and make use of various types of microscopy to study the ultrastructure of rare and potentially endangered plant species, marine organisms and parasites that cause schistosomiasis. In addition, students in my laboratory are unraveling some of the events involved in spermatogenesis. I collaborate with other faculty to assist them, using cytochemical and immunocytochemical methods, in the identification of cellular components relevant to their research
