Biosketch
Christina Alves leads biologics process development in the United States at Takeda Pharmaceuticals including cell line, upstream, and downstream development along with in-process analytics. She has a passion for driving new technology initiatives and seeks out meaningful collaborations to drive industry wide efforts to advance existing platforms and biological understanding. She has served as the chair of the Advanced Mammalian Biomanufacturing Innovation Center (AMBIC) consortium, a member of the AltHost consortium industrial board and on several other industry forums. Prior to joining Takeda, she led cell line and cell culture development at Biogen. Christina did her graduate work in cancer metastasis at Johns Hopkins University, worked at in cell culture and fermentation development at Chiron, and received her BS in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University.
