Alumna of MBA Program Looks to Continue Growth

Leticia Porter ’05 joined UMass Lowell in August as the director of Graduate Programs for the Manning School of Business. She oversees all MSB graduate programs, such as the day and professional MBA, the MSA, MSF (Master of Science in Finance) and MSITE (Master of Science in Innovation and Technological Entrepreneurship), along with other graduate certificate programs.
“There has been so much growth in this university recently. UMass Lowell is climbing to new heights, and that is being noticed,” Porter says. “I am hoping to capitalize on the university’s forward momentum to increase our graduate enrollment, the visibility of the Manning School of Business, and alumni involvement. ... I believe we are well positioned as a business school to grow and thrive.”
Prior to joining UMass Lowell, Porter was the director of Graduate Programs at Merrimack College, where she helped launch Merrimack’s first graduate business degree, the Master of Science in Management (MSM), and subsequently the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA). Porter has more than 13 years of experience in higher education administration. She received her bachelor’s degree in business and international relations from the University of Southern California and her MBA from UMass Lowell.
