LOWELL - UMass Lowell honored seven graduates last week with its annual University Alumni Awards, which began in 1998.
This year's honorees were: James Barry, class of '88, a principal at the Convergent Biomedical Group who previously spent 18 years at Boston Scientific.
Mark Cocozza, class of '71, who has spent more than 40 years in the shoe business, chairing the board of Grandview International, a footwear and accessories distributor.
Louis Coiro, class of '82, the founder and owner of Tewksbury Physical Therapy and Drum Hill Physical and Sports Therapy in Chelmsford.
Patricia McPhail, class of '54, a prominent member of the real-estate community for nearly 40 years in Mississippi.
Jacqueline Moloney, class of '75 and '92, who has been executive vice chancellor at UMass Lowell for seven years.
Richard Pierro, class of '83, co-founder, president and co-owner of Superior Controls in Seabrook, N.H.
Adam Hogue, class of '03, an adviser at Coastal Capital Group LLC and author of a book on his experiences while being deployed in Afghanistan.
